MINIMIZING HAZARDS - OPTIMIZING CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES
HIRA stands for Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment and is a tool developed by us to determine the hazard potential in your projects. Based on retrospective data, we can use it to predict the hazard situation. In addition, we can recommend further actions to improve occupational safety and health protection on your construction site.
The data basis of the tool is formed by the evaluation of accidents, potential risks and other hazards. This is based on our experience from years of supervising numerous construction site projects. Variables such as wind, weather, shift length, number of people and companies on site are also included in the assessment. Based on this analysis, we can determine the potential hazards for the individual trades and estimate the risk of them occurring.
Once the hazard risk has been determined, measures are taken from the Global Risk Register, which are assigned a corresponding degree of effectiveness. In this way, the risk is reduced. As a result, we have a record of all occurring hazards from the outset and a list of measures to reduce them.
The assessment determined by HIRA can be compared with HIRA On Site at the construction site. The implementation of the protective measures is classified. Taking planning into account, this ensures that the current hazard situation can be measured at all times.
HOW HIRA WORKS:
1. Calculation of the probability 2. Determination of the potential risk scenarios 3. Verifying the impacts 4. Definition of effectiveness of protective measures 5. Calculation of risk scenarios 6. Evaluation and application of risk register
