The client for this project was one of the world's leading companies in the manufacturing and installation of wind turbines. This company uses a large number of partner companies for the assembly and commissioning of its installations.
Our initial task in this project was to analyse the existing work safety system and safety processes. The challenge here was in particular to integrate the extensive subcontractor management. The aim of the overall project was to significantly reduce the number of accidents.
The safety concept was developed based on the analysis of two major projects and subsequently rolled out on other construction sites belonging to the client, first in Germany and later throughout Europe.
FACTS:
Through communication with stakeholders at all levels, an effective safety concept could be developed and implemented throughout Europe. This applies in particular to the management of external companies. As a result, the number of accidents could be reduced dramatically. This is exemplified by the reduction of the LTI rate from a double-digit value to below 1.
