Minimise hazards – optimise construction processes
HIRA stands for Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment and is a tool we developed to determine the hazard potential in your projects. Based on retrospective data, we can use it to predict the hazard situation. Furthermore, it allows us to recommend measures for improved occupational health and safety in your projects.
The tool's database is used for the evaluation of accidents, risk potentials and other hazards. Our long-standing experience from consulting on numerous construction site projects is incorporated into this data. In addition, variables such as wind, weather, shift length, number of persons and companies on site are also included in the evaluation. Based on this analysis, we can determine the potential hazards for the individual trades and estimate the risk of their occurrence.
Once the risk has been determined, measures from the Global Risk Register are taken, which are assigned an appropriate degree of effectiveness. This reduces the risk. Hence, we have advance knowledge of all the hazards that exist and a list of measures to mitigate them right from the start.
The assessment made using HIRA can be compared with HIRA On Site on the construction site. In this process, the implementation of the protective measures is categorised. Thus, the measurement of the current hazard situation in consideration of the planning is guaranteed at any time.
